31 show North American Reg Strikes Back tour. Begins in Miami Florida on September 9 and ends in New York on October 22. This was a short "tryout" before embarking on a full blown world tour. For the first time, Elton John plays electric keyboards instead of a piano. Songs played included: Sixty Years On, I Need You To Turn To, The King Must Die, Burn Down The Mission to open the concert, and rarities like The Ballad Of Danny Bailey (1909-34) and songs from the Reg Strikes Back album (I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That, Goodbye Marlon Brando and A Word In Spanish). A synthesizer filled in the orchestra arrangements. Onstage guests included: Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, Bruce Hornsby, Jon Bon Jovi, Debbie Gibson and Steve Lukather (Toto).
