2003.08.31 Service Interruptions

Our servers were unreachable from approximiately midnight last night until noon today. We are told the outage was due to problems with a central switch in the datacenter where our servers are housed (all servers in this location were inaccessable, not just ours). We do not yet know why it took so long for the problem to be resolved. We want to assure everyone that we have been investigating more permenent solutions to the repeated connectivity problems we have been experiencing lately, and will be making changes required to restore stability as soon as possible. Note: ADSL and Dialup are still down.
