2004.01.21 New Server Ready to Start Testing

Over the next few week we will be transitioning services to a new server. For the great majority of clients there should be no noticeable change. Clients are urged to test their web sites on the new server in advanced however, as much as possible, to assure the transition is a smooth one for everyone. Web sites, in most cases, on the new server can be accessed via: http://nsmaug.vex.net/~your_login If your web site is set up to work only on a virtual domain, some of links may not work, but you can test individual pages. Secure sites (using https://) should work as well; though of course browsers will complain about a mismatched certificate. Most of the software is exactly the same on the new server as on the current server, so we do not anticipate many people will notice any differences. The new server however will be running FreeBSD 4.9 as an operating system, and there may be a few clients doing unusual things (and you'll know who you are, if so) which may require special attention. If you have any concerns or questions, please send them to support@Vex.Net, as always.

Good Words
from our Clients

I first began using Vybe Networks, formerly Vex.Net, before the beginning of time, i.e. sometime in the 1990s.

They have hosted my websites and offered other services. Not only have I never had a problem, but their customer service is personal and responsive. And their prices are reasonable.

It may sound like a cliché to say that they are reliable, good and affordable. But that's exactly what they are.
