2004.05.18 New IPs and Sympatico Loves Us Again

Or, to be more accurate, they don't know who we are and so don't care about us again. Which is good. We still have no idea why Sympatico blocked our mail server, nor have even been able to get them to admit that they did: but we have now migrated to our new IPs numbers and the Sympatico mail is no longer blocked. We needed to change our IP numbers for reasons unrelated to the Sympatico situation; it was just a convenient coincidence that we could use this change to get around the Sympatico problem. Please note that most mail destined for Sympatico has now been delivered. There were about 4000 messages accumulated in our queue, which took most of the evening to clear. Most of the mail from this blockage were stored on our server and resent when the block cleared, they were delayed rather than lost. Regarding the IP number changes, all of the vex.net server IP numbers have changed (the old IP numbers still work, but will be disabled in a week or so). Next (this week) we will be migrating the Virtual Domain hosting IP numbers. This process should be seemless and unnoticeable to most customers.

Good Words
from our Clients

I first began using Vybe Networks, formerly Vex.Net, before the beginning of time, i.e. sometime in the 1990s.

They have hosted my websites and offered other services. Not only have I never had a problem, but their customer service is personal and responsive. And their prices are reasonable.

It may sound like a cliché to say that they are reliable, good and affordable. But that's exactly what they are.
