.ca domain names

In the past there have been many restrictions placed on who can register .ca domain name: the entity registering had to have a "national" (multi-province) presence, and so on.

As of around November 2000, these requirements were relaxed so that basically any Canadian citizen/business/group can unrestrictedly register .ca domain names.

You can register .ca, or .on.ca domains (as well as .com, .net, .org, and others) directly through Vex.net with your Domain Registry Service.
