secure web site

All Vex.Net clients can use Vex.Net's secure web server. To set this up, merely create a "secure_html" directory in your home directory. Once that is done https://wwws.vex.net/~login will access it (where "login" obviously is your Vex.Net login ID). If you want to mirror the content of your regular web site you can make secure_html a symlink to public_html.

We may implement a scheme like this which supports virtual hosts in the future; however the complication there is that if you access our secure server using our certificate with your virtual host, browsers will complain about the certificate not matching the host name.

For a fully secure virtual site you must purchase your own certificate for wwws.yourdomain.net, and arrange to have it hosted with us.
