virtual domains with POP and IMAP
With a virtual Vex.Net account you can assign mailboxes to your users that they can access using your virtual domain. For example, if you have the domain "example.com" and a user "John Smith" with a mailbox on Vex.Net of "example3" you can set up that user such that they can use the login "john@example.com" and connect to pop.example.com or imap.example.com to get their email. This works even if some other company uses "john@someotherdomain.com" to get mail.
To use this feature use the control panel to access the individual account. In this example the account is called "example3." If the account is attached to a virtual domain then there will be a box to enter an alias. In the example above you would enter "john" there. Note, do not enter "john@example.com" as the domain part will be added later. In fact, if you have more than one domain attached to your account (e.g. example.ca) then both "john@example.com" and "john@example.ca" will be valid.
This will automatically create an email alias of "john@example.com" so you do not need to also add it to the email alias page.
