User databases on Vex.Net

Vex.Net provides access to PostgreSQL (preferred) and MySQL database engines. However if you need to use either of these you must first email support@Vex.Net to request a database be set up for you before you can access it. Once your database is set up, you will be given a password which you will need to access the database.

When connecting to the database from a CGI script, or other program, you should always use userdb.Vex.Net for the host argument.

For more information and documentation on the respective RDBMS engines see http://www.postgresql.org or http://www.mysql.com.
