Yup and it's been around for a LONG time... I've seen it a few times in
older versions of YARN... It appears to me that if you don't expire all
the messages in a newsgroup (using "expire -o -d999 {newsgroup}) before
you delete the newsgroup, those messages will always be there... I think
that I've noticed everyone saying that they found messages from newsgroups
that they had stopped reading... Then the newsgroup files get out of sync
and nothing but going in and deleting all the files (9605, 9606, 9706
types, etc.) With version 0.90 that's not possible to do, so there is no
recovery... I have never had much luck with any of the YARN recovery
programs...
So that's why, I'm still happily running version 0.85 for DOS in a Windows
DOS box... Works great and no hassle... My files are stable at around 2.5
megs... I don't think that I'll upgrade to version 0.90 based on what I am
hearing here...
Pay attention, Chin...!!!
Marv...
