I don't think you'd do this for replying/followup to a particular
message/article; you'd just use the normal Yarn procedure.
My understanding of what we're talking about here is the
occasional need to quote in a followup other articles than the
one you're following up to.
Usually when I do this, I indent the quoted material to set it
off from the material I'm quoting from the post I'm following up.
That way I don't need to put in any quote marks.
