As far as doslynx is concerned after what repeatedly happened with it and me
on a compuserve access and what happened with me on a minuet access to compuserve
I've come to the conclusion which is supported by the lynx development
team that lynx was compiled with too many broken libraries;
that's the dos version and isn't ready for prime time let alone my computer.
I used myip.exe with the /d option
and was able to always get an ip number but whenever doslynx came up
it was unable to load consistently.
Have not had this problem with minuet and I have four megs beyond
conventional memory and had enabled extended memory for lynx to use if it
had the need.
The main culprit for the doslynx package is the turbovision libraries but
there are other broken items that were also used as well.

Q: What's the difference between a used car salesman and a used computer salesman?
A: The used car salesman knows when he's lying to you.
