Sorry for the delayed reply.
The program ShareSpell is a bit tricky, but don't ditch it - I think
it's a good program, and have used it for some time. If my language is
bad, it is not the fault of ShareSpell :-)
If the SS.EXE and the corresponding word list ACROP.DCT is not in
your environmental path, or in your working directory, you won't get it
loaded even if the SS configuration file is pointing to the list and
you specify full path at the command prompt (like c:\ss\ss.exe). Do
not ask me why! If you are only using SS with Yarn, you may get it
working putting the program in the Yarn directory, but then you will
not be able to run it from some other directory.
Put ShareSpell, and all accompanying files in a directory specified
in your path, or modify your path to include the SS files. Then
everything that is needed in the <home>\yarn\config is:
spell=ss.exe %f (remove the leading #)
