Protect an entire news group from expiration

Would you consider to include an option in the
EXPIRE/EXPIREX program that offers the user the option to
protect an entire news group from expiration.
Now, you can expire an entire group only, but articles from
other groups will be expires according to the cross-posting
I have group1 and group2, and I want to expire group1 but
not group2.
An article with cross-posting header would like this:
Newsgroups: group1,group2
what I would appreciate is an option to protect group2 from
expiration regardless of the cross-posting.
It would also be very useful, if you could re-export an
entire news group to SOUP.
