Some problems

Hi all,
I have a problem:
In one of my newsgroups (alt.fan.james-bond) I have now over 400 message=
s and
there should be about 60 or so. I have tried marking them all read and t=
hen
ran expire -r and rebuild -s. Result : messages were still there :( then=

tried that did it even mark them read. 'Read' few messages, exited into =
main
screen, ok it reduced the message amount. Then exited into dos and retur=
ned
to yarn, surprise surprise the messages were back.
This is beginning to annoy me and I'm wondering how can I fix this. Is d=
eleting
the news.dat only way to go?

I read the mailing list and someone said that shift-t shows messages in
arrival order so I tried it and noticed that when I read messages I dont=
read
them in that order. Here's an example:

-----------------
This Is A Subject Franky Baloyney
|
+--> Joey Buttafucco
| |
| +--> Ham Sandwich
|
+-> Samuel Wipe

This Is Another Subject Al Baloyney

------------------
Now if I choose the 1st message in the thread and read it and go on to t=
he
next one I normally would see Mr.Buttafucco's posting, but I see instead=
some
other posting for example that Another Subject posting. Does Yarn view t=
hese
messages in some weird way or have I understood something wrong?
