Indeed. As far as I know, Pine was the first email agent to blur the
distinction between news articles and emails. It adds Newsgroups
headers to emails, and lures users into posting private email replies
to public newsgroups.

It is noteworthy that none of RFC-822 (email basics), RFC-1049
(Content-type headers), and RFC-1341 (MIME, further extends RFC-1049)
allow a Newsgroups header in emails.
