I've coded a small DOS-util, YFUT - Yarn Follow-Up Tracker, which manages
Yarn's scorefile and lets you easily track down follow-ups to your own
Usenet postings in Yarn, by looking for high scores. YFUT is meant to be
activated (with a batchfile) after the editor, but before Yarn regains
control. It fetches the message-id from the article, and pastes it into
the scorefile as a 'references' search..
For instance, this article will cause these lines in the scorefile:
# 2411 - Managed by YFUT
100 References: <5ho3xouLAl3X091yn@cybernet.dk>
- The first line is a code for today, as YFUT automatically expires it's own
entries after a specified delay.
- YFUT avoids duplicate entries in the scorefile, which would normally
occur when you re-edit an article.
- YFUT only reacts on articles (it checks the header for a Newsgroups: line).
If it has any interest, please drop me a note.
