I received the same question from a few people about having problems
downloading requested articles using Souper for Windows and Bus version
0.13. So I decided to post the answer to the list.
Question:
I can make a Soup Summary packet and get Bus to read it with no
problems, but I cannot download the articles that I have selected.
Bus will create a file called 'COMMANDS.', but Souper doesn't
recognize this file.
Answer:
The 'COMMANDS.' file created by Bus should be placed in the same
directory that Souper will be placing the incoming packet
containing the requested articles. Then use Souper to 'Get News'
as if you were downloading a normal News packet. This could be
done with either the command line options or with the menu
interface. Instead of downloading a normal news packet, Souper
will see the 'COMMANDS.' file and retrieve the requested articles.
The third setup, describing the file and directory locations should
be used. This is titled 'Setup using Souper for Windows, Windows-
95, or OS/2'.
This answer would also apply if you're attempting to download requested
articles using Souper for OS/2 or Windows-95.
