I'd say that some moron has set a new world record for number of groups
crossposted (or References:, perhaps), and trn can't handle it. You
should be okay once that post expires; or add this line to your KILL for
the group:

/^Newsgroups: .*,.*,.*,.*,.*,.*,.*,.*,.*,/h:j

Knock wood, I haven't gotten your blowup since instituting that line
globally. I *can* get trn to die if I note a killed article's number and
try to fetch it interactively. There is also an intermediate condition,
where trn will display the article, but will die if I try to followup (or
even reply -- I'd only followup in a probably-futile effort to redirect
further followups, BTW).

How these <insert CDA violation!> manage to post these articles in the
first place is a great mystery... why doesn't inews barf too?
