Tried that. Didn't work. :(

BTW, I've determined that the numeric value returned by trnkill (ref.
my original message) is just the PID for the trn job it kicks off.

I suppose I could send an email message to support@netcom, but it would
most likely take a month to get a response and an infinite amount of time
to get a resolution....

Dunno, but my hat's off to the few newsreader authors who make the user
confirm that he *really* wants to x-post. Trouble is, there's darn few
of them -- in fact, the only one I can think of offhand is xrn.
