Hello, fellow Win95/Yarn95 user :)...
I tried using Souper for Windows some time ago, but only for a short
time. I found Souper95, and I have been using it for a couple of
months. I run Souper95 in a DOS window, using a BAT file. So, if I
want to abort mail or news operations, I can just type ctrl+c.
The author of Souper for Windows (Bob Rush) posted an announcement
about a new version recently. As I recall, he mentioned that he will
be working on a '95 GUI version, but it will take a while. Please,
Bob, correct me if I am wrong.

This is what I have always done, both with Souper95 and when using my
shell account to upload reply packets. If there is some other way to
do it, perhaps someone else can comment here.
