I think the point was the message body, as well as the header. It had
plenty of quoted-printable stuff. I think the problem in this message
was that the character set was ISO 8859-2, not 8859-1, and Yarn doesn't
support that yet.
The file METAMAIL.DOC is a starting point, but while it shows how to
decode the quoted-printable, it won't display the Japanese characters
correctly unles your code page *is* ISO 8859-2. If you've got a file
viewer that does that, use it instead of LIST, as METAMAIL.DOC suggests.
Otherwise, if you've got a filter that converts ISO 8859-2 to your code
page, call a batch file that calls that filter first, and then calls
LIST with the result of that conversion. Sorry, not speaking Japanese,
I have no suggestion for either a viewer or a filter.
I hope that Yarn eventually gets full METAMAIL functionality built in.
The DOS version of METAMAIL has problems, and it is tricky both to
install and to use. Viewing the messages in Yarn is far better than an
external viewer anyway. Also, at the moment Yarn can *send* attached
files without help from an external program, but it can't receive them,
which is an odd discrepancy.
But I suppose ISO 8859-2 support takes precedence. First of all,
however, I wish Chin would get the bugs out of the version he's *got*,
and not be tempted to install even more features. Admittedly, *most*
versions have included something that tempted me to upgrade, but I don't
think any later version has been as stable as 0.84.
