thanks to all who replied. i can't quote any directly, since
compuserve has the worst mail system since stone tablets and chisels,
but i gather that there is no online reader for yarn bases.
one reply described how to read the actual news folders. thank you.
however, i'm also interested in using the index files, overviews,
readarts, i.e. the entire newsbase. i don't want to just toss
articles; i would like to utilize the whole yarn system as is, except
via modem. standard waffle newsbases produce too much slack space
on a larger hard drive; cnews for waffle is a pain to configure. yarn
seems like a nice medium.
