I got this error whenever I used 'expire -r' on OS/2 (for those who
don't know, the poster is on OS/2 too). Since I switched to 'expire -o'
instead, I haven't seen this.
Although deleting NEWS.DAT also worked, until it came back again.
(Note: some members of yarn-list have noted that you might want to run
rebuild with various options after deleting NEWS.DAT. I've never done
that, and perhaps that is the cause of these errors recurring.)
