Yes, screen updates are noticeably slower than in yarnx. When I
tested Chris' pre-release, some months ago, I told him so. He
couldn't really put his finger on any problem. The "feature" is
most prominent when reading mail and news, not so much in the
highlighted line in the opening screen.

I will quote a few lines from a conversation that Chris and I had
when first testing Yarn95 (I hope Chris don't mind ...)

This puzzles me. I've spent considerable time tuning the screen I/O to work on
my machine to the point where it has slightly cleaner than the code I
originally ported.

I see it now. (I have a 17 in monitor, so I use Yarn in a 80x50 window. I never
even looked at it full screen. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll see what I
can do...
