Reply to address

I am using PMMail to read this list. I have noticed that many posts to
the list do not show the 'Yarn list' as the 'reply to' address. Any
replies that I have made go directly as Email to the sender.
Is there a reason for this? Does Yarn or whatever editors that are
being used, not use the 'Reply to' address?
Maybe another another PMMail user can explain how I can reply to a post
and use the Sender address in the header for example.
