v0.93a3 is available for beta testing from my web page;

Added a /cnew (NEWNEWS) switch, and fixed a bug when '.' is the first
char of a line.
Also added a /o switch to read/write stdin/stdout, so you can pass it thru
a filter, such as;
bnews /cover | bnewsfilter | bnews /cart > art.uue
bnews /cover | bnewsfilter | bnews /cart | uudeview -i -
type <group>.get.txt | bnews /cart | uudeview -io -
