Yarn itself won't do that, no. But you can set something up like I have:
I call Yarn with a batch file (in my case a 4OS2-enhanced CMD file), and
it asks me if I want to fetch news and mail via Souper up front before it
runs Yarn, and asks me if I want to send any replies I may have created
right after exit Yarn.
If I want to refresh my newsbase at that point, I simply run the CMD file
again. Not "elegant", but it's simple and reliable.
Messages are still sent in batches that way, not real-time, but I use that
to some advantage because I review everything in the MAIL and NEWS folders
before I exit to make sure I *really* want to send the responses out (and
that there aren't any blatant errors in them).
