I don't know whether there're Polish readers of this list, but there's
available an addition to Yarn which allows to read and write Polish letters
in mail and news. The program is called Souplk 1.0 and can be obtained from:

http://www.agh.edu.pl/ogonki/soup.html

The only thing you should do in order to install this program is to change
compress and uncompress options in Yarn's config. Then, the program allows
you to use any charset you wish on your computer (it's automatically translated
from/into ISO-8859-2 when it should be), it also works with Polish letters
encoded in headers, decodes/encodes quoted-printable messages when needed etc.
All the conversions are done automatically when packing/unpacking SOUP packets.
While the program is intended for Polish users of Yarn, the main idea of it
should also be interesting for other people who aren't able to use all of the
characters of their language in their postings.
