Recently I posted a problem with VSoup, the alternative for Souper.
Using VSoup, my script got stuck and I couldn't even abort it by
pressing Ctrl-C or Ctrl-Break. I got some help from Phil Crown and
Hardy Griech (the author of VSoup). At first it looked like I could
only set up one or two connections with my news server, but verifying
this by opening four telnet sessions connecting with the news server
learned that this was not the problem. Hardy came up with the
suggestion to look at my emx runtime versions. I found out that I had
version emx09-a which were rather old. I got emx09-b from
ftp-os2.cdrom.com: /pub/os2/emx and replaced my older version with the
newer one. I tested it and it seems like this was the problem. VSoup
doesn't get stuck and I can use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-Break to abort VSoup.
Thanks for all the help.
