Use VSoup! It is a souper replacement for OS/2 which uses
multi-threading. Perhaps a little help for you will be, that the
servers are specified on the command line with URLs. VSoup can be
found on ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/os2/incoming/vsoup*, perhaps you can find
it already at ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/os2/network/tcpip/vsoup*.
