UQWK mail reader

I am trying to insert UQWK mail reader at my new ISP address. They
do not curerntly provide UQWK. They tell me that I can put it in my
directories if I want to. I have since downloaded many files relating
to UQWK... NONE of them are binay files. They all appear to be in C format.
I have downloaded uqwk1.7.tar.gz or something like that and it appears to
be a text file. Nowhere can I find an executable file called UQWK. That
is all I need. Can anyone steer me to the right direction to get such a
file or if one doesn't exist (Which I strongly suspect) can they tell me
how to change the text file to an execcutable file... I would dearly like
to be able to download newsgroups....
I tried to use Make or make without any positive results. I just get
error messages. Can anyone help???
