Well, yes, you can multitask on Unix. I can't say I've ever
tried this combination but I presume you'd run uqwk in the
background and run Lynx in the foreground (or whatever) to surf;
maybe have another FTP session in the background, etc. That is,
if you can keep track of all the stuff going on. :-(
However, my uqwk download is purpose-built and it's fast and
efficient, IMHO. I couldn't do much web browsing during a few
minute upload/download. And... it's kind of nice in the morning
to just double-click on the icon and go away and make the coffee
and have the job done when you get back! That's what I'm looking
for via PPP/Winsock/Yarn: simplicity.

Unfortunately, I'm running neither NT nor OS/2 - I'm still on
WFWG 3.11. :-( I am installing Linux on another of my machines
but that's another ballgame alltogether (slurp or UUCP?).
Anyhow, I'm still listening for ideas - I just know *someone's*
got the answer to this *somewhere*!
