The program you want is "metamail". Noting that you are an OS2er the
ftp location of it is hobbes.nmsu.edu/os2/unix/metamail.zip

You have to set up a "mailcap" configuration file which defines what
programs are run with which MIME Types.

It's a unix port. There's next to no docs. It's a pain in the *** to set up
(imho) -- but if really want to be able to view stuff "live", you'll have
to endure... someone once told me a while back that there's a WebExplorer
file that is similar to a mailcap file which defines MIME Types -- i forget
which it was (i don't have WebEx installed at the moment)... take a look
around in your /tcpip/etc/ directory for a text file that looks like it's
defining mime types.

Good luck! (-: (maybe someone here can forward you a ready-made confuration
for it). (Also the DOS package of it might have some more docs... dunno)

or you can program your own filter with REXX like Phil suggests. <-: Easy
for him to say, eh. <-;
