Not to take any of the wind out of Phil's sails (Phil, you have to get a
trademark on that "REXXwonderscripts" right away! <-: ), but there is a
package on hobbes that proports to do all these things -- i've never tried
it, being one of those "old fashioned way of doing things" guys. I don't
even have TCP/IP installed here at the moment. Too much overhead! Anyhow
the package is called YarnDial...

You OS/2 folks may want to check it out (until Phil gets his together, of
course). It claims to be pretty flexible, and even work with the various
third party OS/2 dialers.
