sorting mail vs. usenet

Hi, YARN List,

I'm a relavtively new YARN user, but after playing with it for a bit, have a
couple of thoughts:

Am I unique in thinking that the sort/display defaults for USENET and e-mail
should be different? YARN only has one set of defaults (best I can see) and
therefore one preference. I'd like my e-mail box sorted by arrival with all
messages shown, whereas I'd like USENET groups sorted by subject (and
threaded, obviously) with only unread messages shown. This would require
two config settings permitting the user to specify defaults for both mail
and news. Is there a way to do this with YARN (or some of the freeware
companion utilities?

Also, is there any way to have unread messages display in colors different
from read messages when at the message selection level?

Thanks,

- DaveL
