ABNORMAL TERMINATIOR when running expire

Yesterday I decided to run expire for the first time. My news.dat was
getting up around 100 MB, and I wanted to stop it. :-)

I tried a couple of testruns on some selected newsgroups, and it looked
like it was doing what it should, i.e. no errors or stuff like that. So I
created a .cmd-file (see below), ran it and went to bed. This morning I saw
that I had gotten a lot of errormessages. They all looked like this:

Assertion failed: blk.prev + free.size + sizeof(BlockHeader) == delOffset,
file ..\SPOOLFIL.CPP, line 234
ABNORMAL TERMINATION

At least the last 6 lines in the .cmd-file gave the error, and now I keep
getting it every time I run expire.

What's wrong?
