I tried that. But first I backed up my 95 MB news.dat, and that was good,
because after doing the rebuild -o I had a 20 _bytes_ news.dat! What did I
do wrong?

Right now I'm trying to recover from having _all_ my messages in the backed
up file marked as unread after a rebuild. That's quite a read! :-)
