This should work for any OS that supports DOS VMs (OS/2, Win'95, Win NT.
There's a DOS program called plany.exe, which will play a WAV, AU, and
or RAW files as long as you've set the BLASTER and/or SOUND environment
properly. You can then setup a batch file, and at the very end play the
sound file like so (no quotes, of course!) 'plany mysound.wav'

I use 4DOS, which I've setup in a way that it will beep twice at the
end, and ask if everything went okay. Sometimes I get a socket receive
error and this allows me to see what went wrong. I can then set
everything back to normal, or move the files to the Yarn directory. A
must have for any DOS, Win '95 user (4DOS, that is!) and for OS/2 users
(4OS/2). . .and what the hell, even for Win' NT users! =-)
