Yes, there are lines in your Yarn config file that allow you to do
this. In my config, it says:

# This is the prefix inserted before quoted lines when you reply or followup.
reply-quote=>

# Message lines beginning with any of these characters are shown as quoted.
quote=>|:

My guess is that you could just make sure that the "reply-quote" and
"quote" lines in your Yarn config are uncommented (like mine are,
above). Then, when you reply to a message/article, you should be
straight.
