Yes, there is a telnet program that comes with Win95. But, no, it does
not run in console mode.

When I run Win95's telnet program on my system, I am not loading
Hyperterminal. However, I am presented with a GUI-type interface, when
I do load it. Personally, I don't think it is worth much, because I
can't see how one can download or upload anything using it.

On the other hand, I do recall seeing some mention of a console telnet
app on the Virtunix mailing list. I have not tried using it, so I
can't say whether or not it works. Can anyone else shed some light on
this?
