Suggestion for import program

Hi, not sure if this is currently possible, but it might be a good idea if
it isn't. After importing messages and articles, it would be neat if the
import program could write a little summary of what it did.
For example:
yarn-l: 22
rec.humor.funny: 3
inbox: 15...
What do others think?
