I solved my problem by telling the filter program to search in the
header rather than specifically in the subject field. Why this should
be the case, I frankly do not know. But the bottom line is that I
now am able to delete the messages I do not wish to read without
being required to set up a search string for each and every occurrence
of the subject which might contain the undesirable phrase.
My sincere thanks to the party whose name temporarily escapes me who
responded with the web site for the Trnkill program.
