I get message:

then the window:
General Protection Fault in Module Winsock.DLL
at 0002:8021

I connect to sprynet and get a web page to make
sure the connection is good.
I switch to program manager and load Souper.
In Souper I select Get
If I get mail the GPF is immediate last line
(getting mail ...)
if I get news there is a pause and then the
message "Cannot get news as spry.com"
then, when I click "OK"
I see souper screen (line added at bottom;
"Getting news: Error encountered")
if I repeat the Get news a second time then I
get GPF (last line "getting news ..."

so I tryed it without loading the dialer. The
dialer rang! ...
on screen:
reading news
Box (after dialer connects) cannot read from
spry.com
error
try again without exiting souper.
GPF (last line says "reading mail")

GPF (without going to dialer)

Time after time I tryed. perhaps 1 in 10 times it
would run the dialer. It was a little more often
that It went to the dialer if the dialer was
already loaded but had not been used.
more than once I shut the computer off and tryed
different things first. Once it called the dialer
the other times GPF as before.
When Getting mail it always gives GPF immmidiatly
with the last line saying "Getting Mail ..."
