UQWK: Can't post when news server is down

I can't post mail with uqwk when my news server is down. Why is this? I don't
even have news to post!

The only way around this is to set NNTPSERVER to another news server, but
I sometime don't have this option. What can I do to uqwk to ignore the
news server, esp if I don't have news to post.

Anyone else have this problem?
