Well, replying to your message, I get a choice of phdss@netins.net,
phdss@worf.netins.net and all recipients. I don't know if the worf is
a spamkiller.

Actually, Yarn is smart enought not to have both e-mails in your
newsbase.

I'm running a copy of Tim Middleton's Yarf which allows an OS/2 user
to specify which address to use for e-mail/newsgroups. A small
snippet of the yarf.txt should show some of the possibilities.
There's also a DOS version included, but I haven't tried it yet.

WHAT IS YARF?
------------
Yarf works with YARN to allow you to automatically control your
email/news "From:" field. You can set up a different "From:"
field for email than for news postings. And more.

You can be even more specific, if you want, and set up many
different "From:" headers based on any text in your messages'
headers.

[This would allow you to set up your mailing lists with your real
addresses, usenet with a spamkiller.]

Some of the infinite possible practical uses for Yarf:

* Foil spammers who take your email address from usenet
postings -- have Yarf make your usenet posts show a
bogus "From:" field, yet maintain your real email address
for email messages.
* Perhaps some intimate friends you correspond with know
you by some nickname -- have Yarf detect mail to these
people and substitute your nickname.
* Maybe just in the newsgroup talk.bizzare it's very
important you be known as "Skippy the Singing Snail"?

There should be a pointer to the zip at:
