I assume that you have the SMTP server set on Souper to point to
panix.com's SMTP server. Once panix.com get's the message, it'll tell
Souper that everything's OK and Souper won't give an error message.
After panix gets the message, it'll try forwarding it directly to AOL
or Case Western. That's probably where the problem is.

I heard recently that AOL is doing something to reject mass
emailings. Looking at the headers from your message, the Received:
header indicates that the host name for your PC is "localhost". That
sounds like a default. I don't know OS/2, but you might want to check
out the setup for the OS/2 slip/ppp interface.

There may also be additional headers that the list software had
removed. Try sending yourself some mail using Yarn/Souper, then try
sending the same SOUP packet using uqwk. Once you receive the mail,
compare all the headers and see how they differ.

Alternately, send me <bobr@mcs.net> the two test messages, one using
Souper, one using uqwk. I'll take a look at the headers and send a
comparison back to you.

But first, I'd look at that OS/2 slip/ppp interface setup. If you're
using slip, you might want to change to ppp.

When you use uqwk, you need to log on and supply a user name. Panix
already set the host name and everything else you need correctly.
This isn't the case when you connect using slip/ppp and send mail
using Souper. This is also why the spammers like using slip/ppp.

Talk with you later,

bob
