I can verify the first two statements (above) regarding Yarn95, but not
the remaining ones. I am clueless about code pages, and, although I
run Yarn95, I use a DOS-based editor called dnot for composing
messages. Dnot is like Emacs, but without all of the extra features.
It works for me :)

IMHO, since I began using Win95, I have found it easier to run Yarn95
routines, i.e. batch files, and my Yarn "front-end" (Yarn Launcher).
All of this is due to shortcuts. To me, that Win95 feature has been
very worthwhile. Configurations are easier to setup, and, in the end,
lots of keystrokes are saved. The only other major benefit, in my
opinion, is that, as I understand it, Yarn95 makes use of the memory
capabilities of Win95. I don't know about all of the technicalities
surrounding this... All I can say is that I never get an "out of
memory" error, or any similar problem, since I have been using Yarn95.

Well... If you have not experienced any problems with the DOS version
of Yarn under Win95, then I would say "if it ain't broke, don't fix
it". I have had some difficulties with Win95. But, I must say that I
find it easier to run my DOS-based programs under Win95, since they all
seem to do well in DOS windows. No stability problems here...

I am, again, clueless about this question. Like I said (above), I run
a DOS-based editor with Yarn95. All I did was put in the directory
path to the program in my Yarn config, and specify the same as the
"true editor" in Yes.
I hope that I have helped you, in some way(s) :)...
