Hmm, first of all i trust you mean -#$l (with the dollar sign).
Next, probably what you want is -#$L (capital L). But then again maybe
you don't.
The $l is supposed to move the cursor to the end of quoted text (if
any exists), a function someone requested long ago -- i have just
tested it and it does indeed seem to have got broken. It seems that if
there is no quoted text it does not reposition the cursor at all (ie.
leaves it at the top), and if there is quoted text it positions the
cursor to the same as the $L value would. Is this similar to what you
experience?
Anyhow, try -#$L and see if that works for you; it might be actually
what you want.
I'll fix the $l if someone really, really, really want it I suppose.
