Here in list.yarn, rronkin@cpcug.org (R. R. Ronkin) spake unto us, saying:

It's probably good practice to scan *any* files you obtain from the net
or (especially) via diskette or tape. Many (most?) FTP sites have few
if any scanning facilities.

I generally scan things after I unZIP (or otherwise dearchive) them.
