If the BAG format is - what I suspect - USENET batch format, it
shouldn't be too hard to accomplish your task:

- generate a dummy file REPLIES which contains
"NEWS\tnews\tu\n" // C(++) notation
- rename your BAG output to news.msg

Should be all you need.
